How to Become a Precinct Chair

Precinct chairs file for a full term by running on the Republican Party ballot by filling out a ballot application, provided by the Secretary of State's office. If you are in a vacant precinct, you may be appointed by the County Executive Committee (CEC).

To begin the process for a vacant precinct, complete and submit the application below.

  2. Your application will be reviewed by the Vacancy Committee.
  3. The County Executive Committee (CEC) makes the final decision on appointments to vacant precincts.
